From the website Breaking News Online "The OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) has
decided to cut the oil production by 1.5 million barrel a day in order
to halt the sliding crude oil prices."
A spokesman for OPEC said, "We hope this will stop people from throwing their money away on things like food and medicine."
Other activites OPEC has planned to promote their warm, friendly image include making lewd gestures at elderly people and bludgeoning small animals at a local petting zoo.
