Not that I would have otherwise gone to see it but, how unfortunate to hear.

Yes. More than a little disappointing.

The fact that the trailers made me think of that chill-inducing "snuggle bear" was not a good sign. You remember the one - shill for some fabric softener. Incredible! The stuffed bear would fall into a pile of blankets and emerge unhurt. Put Hollywood stunt teams on notice.
But I digress. The trailers sucked, the movie had no chance.

@Jeff - Yeah, and given the quality of this movie, I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood made a sequel. "Where the wild things are: The battle against static cling".

I just keep getting this visual of people in mascot costumes. You know the kind... they show up at half time to pump up the crowd.
I've actually been blessed enough not to have come across any of the trailers, so that ridiculous costume image sits there fermenting.

@Claudia - Yeah. Maybe they should have called the movie "When Team Mascots Go Bad".

Actually the visual of mascots would be more life like than the move. The muppet movie was more convincing. And to make it worse, all of the monsters have a resemblence to Bill Mahr for whatever reason.
It's the worst film I've seen in years.

@Jack - Ha! Hilarious.
