The other day I bought a manual, push lawnmower. Picture a couple of large, rotating carrot peelers connected to a pole. It is a little old fashioned. In fact, in terms of gardening technology, it is one step away from having sheep.

We used to have one of those lawn mowers when I was a kid! We would sneak it out of the garage and use it to either chase each other or destroy giant ant hills. Now that I am an adult, I wonder, how do you sharpen the blades? After you've used it for awhile, and the blades become dull, wouldn't it fluff, more than actually cut, the grass? If that's the case, the sheep might be a better option. Then you could do that whole "crying wolf" thing everyone talks about, that sounds like so much fun.
